The unexpected inventor of waterproof make up

Hello ladies!
Every season I have a type of product I'm obsessed with...in this summer it's the turn of waterproof make up. But yesterday during my shopping I was wondering: who invented waterproof make up?
I made some researches and I found out a very unexpected answer: MAX FACTOR!
Yes ladies, Max Factor is the men who invented what saves our faces during the desert temperature! To be precise this type of invention dates 1971 but he also invented other products we take for granted today, for example the lip gloss in 1930 and also the word this blog (and many others) is based on.
In 1920 Max Factor officially began referring to his products as "make-up" based on the verb phrase "to make up" (one's face). Up until then the term ‘"cosmetics’’ had been used as the term ‘"make-up" was considered to be used only by people in the theatre or of dubious reputation and not something to be used in polite society.
Could you imagine??(Maybe I was the only one who didn't know that...if so...my fault!)

Ciao ragazze!
Nel 1920 Max Factor cominciò ufficialmente a riferirsi ai prodotti cosmetici con il termine "make up", grazie al verbo "to make up" (= costituire/comporre).
